SATCOM: No acknowledgement from aircraft SDU
At 0203:23 MYT MAS ODC attempted to contact the aircraft by sending a text message to the cockpit printer, via ACARS. The service provider, SITA, would have forwarded the message to Inmarsat for transmission to the aircraft via a satellite communications datalink.
The Inmarsat GES initiated a DATA-2 ACARS transmission (uplink) at 1803:41 UTC (0203:41 MYT), but received no acknowledgement from the SDU on the aircraft 9M-MRO. Therefore, the SATCOM Link was lost at sometime between 0107:48 MYT and 0203:41 MYT.
There is no evidence of a cockpit-initiated manual Log-Off of the SATCOM.

a. Therefore, the SATCOM Link was lost at sometime between 1707:48 and 1803:41.
b. There is no evidence of a cockpit-initiated manual Log-Off of the SATCOM.
Notes
- 1707:48 UTC is 0107:48 MYT
- Because the SDU on the aircraft did not respond, at 1803:41 UTC and again at 1805:11 UTC, the ACARS message could not be sent. Therefore ACARS returned the message to MAS ODC with the message type MAS-F (failed) at 0206:25 MYT).
