Template:CategoryPage

MH370 DECODED
Jump to navigation Jump to search
Simplification from 5 May 2023
  1. Use only the Template:CategoryPage/Header
  2. The Header now contains common wording from Template:CategoryPage/CommonWording
  3. An optional Category Description may be added. This will appear below the actual header.
  4. Do not use any of the other templates. These will be deleted eventually.
  5. A new Category for Entities has been created. A Category called Metadata has been deleted.
  6. Most parent categories will be Plural. Specific instances of a child category would be Singular.

Notes:-

  • Country pages still use the Template:CategoryPage/Country
  • The top level category uses the Template:CategoryPage/TopLevelHeader because the wording is different (no parent category).

Usage

Copy this code into each category page.

{{CategoryPage/Header
   |ParentCategory=
   |CategoryDescription=
}}

Previous Instructions

There are two types of category:-

Topic category
Named after a topic. The name is usually singular.
Set category
Named after a class. Usually plural.

The sub-pages have different header templates, one for Topic categories; the other for Set categories.

The top of the category hierarchy is called MH370.

Another top category was created to temporarily hold miscellaneous categories, 'wanted categories', errors etc.
This is called CategoriesWantedList.
